About Me:

For the better part of my 30 years on this Earth I have been fascinated by how a musical idea starts and the process of how that idea becomes what we hear on the radio or Spotify. To chase this creative process I found my free time occupied by learning all I could about music and how it is created.

Starting by learning songs on the guitar, I began my musical journey. I began to record the bands I played in and dove into learning audio engineering principles. I learned the fundamentals of how music works through multiple music theory classes. I also started to experiment with music software, recording technique, and mixing.

Fast forward to working in college recording studios, my hobby intensified into a burning passion. I spent the better part of my college years learning production and recording. During these years I decided that I had to find a way to make this passion a career.

Post graduation I moved to Nashville and started working at one of the most legendary studios in the Music City, Sound Emporium. Trying to absorb every bit of knowledge possible, I had the opportunity to watch some of the best producers, engineers, artists, and musicians make absolutely amazing records. During my time at Sound Emporium I developed my skillset of live multi-tracking, signal flow, session preparation, chart reading, mixing, mastering, and started to pick up on the intangible skills that make an engineer and producer great.

Life circumstances brought me back to home base, Dayton, Ohio. The years after Nashville provided an opportunity to synthesize what I head learned watching the best at their craft and really apply that knowledge to my projects.

As I became more confident and comfortable, the list of artists I worked with grew. I found myself producing recording, producing, mixing, and mastering all types of genres from EDM to country and from rock to hip hop.

Over the years locations have changed, technology has advanced, and clients evolve, however, that burning passion remained. I am still fascinated by all things audio and the music creation process.
